Widget-002 Comment Box
-
First you see a button in its initial state, with white stars and no results underneath.
-
Hover over each of the stars. Notice that the explanation and the rating description change.
-
Click on a star. Now you'll see that your selection stays displayed when you move your cursor away. Also the cumulative results now show up underneath the button. Also your first star click starts a timer.
-
Click again on any star, and if it's within 30 seconds of your first click, you'll see the average change but not the total votes. It has only changed the value of your current vote, not added another vote.
-
After 30 seconds, you can still click and your star selection on the button changes, but notice that the average and total are unchanged. Between 30 seconds and 2 minutes after a vote, any clicks are ignored.
-
After 90 seconds the button refreshes itself and appears as initial state. However when you click on it, it simply displays the current results but does not register a new click value (either different or the same) for another 30 seconds.
-
After 2 minutes the timer resets. The server accepts another vote on this button, regardless of the state of the button before that click is made. Meaning that the button could be sitting in initial state or the viewer could have been clicking away and changing the button's state, doesn't matter. Immediately upon two minutes after a vote is made, the server once again accepts a vote from this viewer's computer browser and web page button combination.
-
NOTE: Other website viewers can be viewing the same web page and click on the same button, and as long as they're browsing from a different IP address, their click vote is accepted independently of any other viewer.
